Description

We support our client, a major company, specializing in the railway industry, to hire a key resource for a position as a senior business analyst (Black Belt).

Ton savoir

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement and new design, and project delivery in a technology-focussed environment;
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in developing and implementing business improvement solutions by applying a broad repertoire of process improvement methodologies;
  • 4 - 7 years of effectively planning, managing and delivering multiple high-profile projects using Six Sigma and Lean best practices;
  • Minimum of 3 years railroading industry experience, PTC a bonus;
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical degree; an additional business degree is an asset;
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (certified), or equivalent senior-level business process certification;
  • Excellent Microsoft tools proficiency (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Viso, Access, SharePoint) as well as Sparx Enterprise Architect, and Minitab;
  • Mastery of BPMN.

Ton savoir-faire

Optimize and/or develop new business processes, analyze data, and define requirements for technology solutions;
Execute new process development and improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology (or its derivatives based on level of complexity);
Develop, deploy, and manage the Process Management Control System (includes: Key Performance Indicators, Balanced Scorecard, and Measures for processes at hand), while aligning with various business units and their Process Management Control Systems;
Responsible for business requirements gathering, elicitation, validation, and documentation;
Conduct field interviews and meetings with project sponsor and key stakeholders to clarify business issues and understanding underlying drivers;
Perform structured root cause analyses (ranging from simple to very complex) using industry best practices and basic statistical methods to validate true root causes;
Utilize broad business and technology requirements to recommend and implement solutions which address business needs;
Develop recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis and best practices;
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business processes and operations to ensure accuracy of business requirements and alignment of solutions to operations content;
Develop and validate detailed workflow procedures;
Maintain process documentation and related artifacts;
Assist in the execution of the quality management plan.
